William Hill World Championship Day 4

The World Championship marches on!
Down Under? Down And Out More Like
I don’t know about you but I have been disappointed with the standard of both the players from Australia and New Zealand. There is a big darts scene down under and we have a few clients on our site striving to be one of the “big boys” down there. Keep working at it would be my message, you have a chance on this evidence.
Rob Szabo hit a 78 average in his prelim and 86 against Cavern although this is slightly skewed as he only had 4 shots at a double. Laurence Ryder had an 81 average but only 4 goes at the double too. I may be being harsh, nerves play their part, of course they do. But in a way it is a back handed compliment as I was expecting a lot more from Australia and New Zealand.
Dirk Wears A White Flag
Talking of nerves Dutch Dirk smashed in a 180 with aplomb, the only problem was he was already on 180 so busted his score. You had to feel for him and Barney was already cruising when disaster struck for his opponent and he virtually gave up sending Barney through.
Raymond had already been flagged up as a potential winner of the World Championships by the Sky pundits. I really can’t see this. His past results offer no evidence he could come through a long game with say MVG, Anderson, Lewis, Wade or even Taylor.
Tips
Joe Murnan came through for us but he made us sweat. The game v The Hammer was a darting equivalent of a good nil nil draw at football. It lasted 90 minutes too and although the standard wasn’t always the best it was a tense rollercoaster ride and I enjoyed it.
Tonight we are going for over 9.5 180's in the Thornton v Norris game. This should be close so if we get 4 or 5 sets they should cover the line. We will double it with Michael Smith hitting the most 180's in his match. Bet 365 has the best price for this!
Monday December 21 (7pm-11pm)
Warrick Scheffer (2/1) v John Michael (5/11) (P)
Robert Thornton (8/15) v Alan Norris (2/1)
Michael Smith (2/9) v Jeffrey De Zwaan (4/1)
James Wade v Scheffer/Michael
