888.COM Premier League

This week the Premier League bandwagon comes to my home, not literally but in Manchester. This is the most intriguing week as it’s the top of the league vs. the top man in PDC. Let’s get the low down.

Terry Jenkins v Mark Webster
Phil Taylor v Gary Anderson
James Wade v Raymond van Barneveld
Simon Whitlock v Adrian Lewis

Terry Jenkins vs. Mark Webster

Mark played very well last week leaving poor old Adrian lost for words. It will be much of the same as I can’t see Terry beating Mark here, he was just too good last week. 8-4 to Webby.

James Wade vs. Raymond van Barneveld

Both players are a bit hot and cold so far this year, nothing spectacular from either player. I expect this to be close, 8-6 to either player but let`s go with the Dutchman to pinch it.

180’s 8

Simon Whitlock vs. Adrian Lewis

Adrian will be looking to bounce back to put some points on the board. He seems very distracted of late (probably his personal life that has been documented in the papers recently) is distracting him. Simon is becoming a favourite of the crowd with his high outshots and power scoring. I don’t think he’ll have enough of them in this one and I am looking for Adrian to focus and take the game 8-5.

Phil Taylor vs. Gary Anderson

This is the match I personally have been waiting for. Gary Anderson is to treble 20`s what wasps are to summer, a menace, and Gary has more sting too! Taylor may have been ropey last week (for his exacting standards anyway) and a few including Ime had thought the tide was changing but once again proved the pundits and darts fans  wrong and bounced back with a vengeance. This will be a barn burner!

This game should be a cracker, Phil is getting better with the new darts and all the calculations add up to the best game of the year. Expect everything here. 180’s 170 checkout and yes 9-darter(S) the only thing I’m struggling with is a winner. This is a Coin toss match it’ll be 8-6 here and I’m going for Anderson, but, hmmm, it could go either way (excuse me, I am just jumping off the fence now)! Too close to call, maybe, but Anderson 8:6 !

Well I am going to this tonight as it`s “down the road” and I am looking forward to it Look out for me, and my placard “George could beat these easy”!

Take care and enjoy
