It was a more relaxing Spa day yesterday!

Winmau World Masters Day 2

It was a more relaxing Spa day yesterday!

After the “fun and party games” of Day 1 of the Winmau World Masters an element of calm and relaxation hung over the Spa! We were back to stage games, one at a time, a level playing field after the carnage of the seeds being dispatched left, right and centre the day before.

Mind you that didn’t stop some more shocks. Deta Hedman went out in the first game of the day v Sarah Roberts. The Japanese qualifier lost the plot otherwise she would have KO’d Corrine Hammond with plenty to spare.

In the Men’s the two stand out players were Krzystof Ratajski and Glen Durrant and they meet today in the ¼ Finals. As I was enjoying my breakfast this morning Duzza came wandering in and he looked fresh and ready to play. He has a bit of a wait but he is going to take some stopping if his hat trick of titles is going to be denied!

On another note the commentary team of John Rawling and Chris Mason spent a lot of time discussing technique and analysis yesterday. John asked if anyone offered video analysis in darts! It seems a brilliant idea to me and can't believe no one has thought of it

Seriously though it is brilliant to hear these discussions (even if us, the pioneers don't ever get a mention) and shows darts is moving forward at a great pace in many areas!

The Men’s, Ladies and the WDDA tournament all play to a finish today.

The Men’s schedule is here

The Ladies is here and the WDDA Final is between Phil Lees and Kev Turner
