The Winmau starts today from The Lakeside.

The 2016 Winmau World Masters starts today - Friday 2 December from The Lakeside. I will be watching from behind the scenes at The Lakeside, it is shaping up to be a cracking tournament.

The Men's competition stats at 12 today. Here are the games:
Glen Durrant 3 v 0 Norbert Attard
Martin Phillips  1 v 3 Davy van Baelen
Wesley Harms 3 v Raymond Smith 3
Darius Labanauskas 3 v Steve Alker 0
Martin Adams 2v John O’Shea 3
Brian Dawson 3 v Jeff Smith 2
Jim Williams 3 v Robert Allenstein 2
Jamie Hughes 3 v Gary Robson 1

Danny Noppert 2 v Kiley Edmunds 3
Richard Veenstra 1 v Alan Soutar 3
Mark McGeeney 3 v James Hurrell 2
Scott Waites 3  v David Copley 0
Dean Reynolds 3 v Neil Duff 0
Darryl Fitton 3 v Dave Parletti 0
Geert de Vos 3 v Michael Meaney0
Scott Mitchell 3 v Oskar Alukasiak 0

The outright odds are: Predictably Glen Durrant is favourite to retain his title at 9/4. Noppie is 5/1. Hughes is 15/2 and Scotty 10/1. The price of The Silencer at 33/1 took my eye and he may be worth an each way chance.
