William Hill World Championship Day 2

We had a day out at the Palace courtesy of Unicorn Darts!

We had a ball at the Palace yesterday! A huge thanks to the big name in darts, Unicorn for their hospitality. We struck lucky and were due to be there for the afternoon. A couple of places then came available for the evening session so after a lot of arm twisting we were forced to stay for the evening too! Sigh!  What a night it was too!

I am in the DPC shop today so another short but sweet blog. A full report on the hospitality and other thoughts about what we have all witnessed so far will follow! Our Kist/Anderson double landed too!

Saturday December 19
Afternoon Session (1pm-5pm)
Kim Viljanen (4/5)  v Sven Groen (6/5) (P)
Steve Beaton (1/6) v Koha Kokiri (5/1)
Ian White (1/4) v Dimitri Van den Bergh (4/1)
Kevin Painter (1/6) v Viljanen/Groen (9/2)

Evening Session (7pm-11pm)
Keita Ono (8/13) v Alex Tagarao (11/7) (P)
Simon Whitlock (2/5) v Ricky Evans (9/4)
Vincent van der Voort (1/7) v Laurence Ryder (63/10)
Phil Taylor (1/41) v Ono/Tagarao (16/1)

Tips

It's tempting to oppose Whitlock later but I am not sure what sort of form Ricky Evans is in. Ricky did come through the qualifiers which is a great achievement, maybe Evans in the handicap is the way forward. Beaton and Painter at 1/6! You would need your head examining to back them at those odds.

So a nice simple one to get the day rolling, Ian "Diamond" White to hit the most 180's in the afternoon session at 9/4 with Bet365 is my choice.
