William Hill World Championship Day 1

Posted: 18.12.15 in Tournament Analysis Blog category

We are up and running and we are at the Ally Pally today!

The much awaited PDC World Championships kicked off last night. X Factor came through his prelim game but we were short of one 180 in the Lewis/Gurney game for our first tip to come home. The Dude won the match 3:1 and then there were easy wins for Wright (v Keegan Brown) and reigning Champion Gary Anderson over prelim winner Andy Boulton.

We are off to the Ally Pally today, Unicorn have invited us along for the afternoon session so watch this space for an update on what it's like in the "posh bit" at the darts! This is what we have to look forward to:

Friday December 18
Afternoon Session (1pm-5pm)

Qiang Sun (3/1) v Mick McGowan (3/10) (P)
John Henderson (4/5)  v Darren Webster (7/6)
Justin Pipe (8/11) v Christian Kist (13/10)
Mark Webster (1/7) v Sun/McGowan (9/2)

Evening Session (7pm-11pm)
Thanawat Gaweenuntawong (16/13) v Rene Eidams (4/5) (P)
Brendan Dolan (16/11) v Kyle Anderson (4/6)
Kim Huybrechts (3/10) v David Pallett (16/5)
Michael van Gerwen (1/41) v Gaweenuntawong/Eidams (25/1)

Tips:

I have a train to catch so haven't delved into the stats too much. So to keep it simple I'm going to back former Lakeside World Champion Christion Kist to beat Pipe and our friend from Nottingham Uni Kyle Anderson to beat The History Maker!
