What a shocking start to the PDC World Championships!

What a shocking start to the PDC World Championships! Poor preparation always results in a poor performance! Yep, I only went and arranged a few weeks ago to go out tonight for a Xmas curry with a few friends Never mind, I have SkyGo, the greatest invention since chicken madras to keep me updated along with Twitter of course!

We have a competition for you too! Two Twitter pals of mine – Aidan – a regular blogger on the DPC site of course challenged the irrepressible and Champion of the BDO Oche Balboa to a contest. They are both allowed to tip one winner for all the games of the PDC World Championships and the BDO World Championships, one point per correct forecast in a battle of tipping prowess!

Would you like to join in? Vote for either Aidan or Oche to come out on top, email paul@dartsperformancecentre.com or tweet your choice of Champion Tipster to @dartscentre. Vote @A_Farrelly or @oche_balboa

We will keep a league table running throughout the tournament and everyone that picks the winner will go into the hat for Three prizes of £10 DPC Darts Shop Vouchers!

Thursday December 18 (7pm-12am)

John Part (11/5) v Keegan Brown (4/9)

Christian Perez (4/6) v Cristo Reyes (13/10) (P)

JelleKlaasen (Evens) v Christian Kist (Evens)

Michael van Gerwen (1/19) v Joe Cullen (12/1)

Wes Newton (1/7) v Christian Perez/Cristo Reyes (5/1)

It is a cracking start to the night with a clash between the wily John Part and the World Youth Champion Keegan Brown. Christian Perez from the Philippines is back again and he is favourite to go on to play Wes Newton. His first opponent though in the prelim is debutant Christo Reyes from Spain.

An all Dutch affair that should be a cracker – Klassen v Kist, the bookies can’t split these two and then the reigning PDC World Champion starts his quest to retain his title with a match against Joe Cullen. The Warrior finishes the night off with the game against the Prelim winner.

I fancy Keegan Brown 4/9 to send JP to the commentary box for the balance of the finals and Kist/Klassen over 17.5 legs at 10/11  gives you a nice little double.
