There is a darts college opening in Hampshire and we're involved!

There is a fantastic opportunity on the horizon for young people on the south coast to gain a BTEC qualification as well as receiving professional coaching in the sport of darts. Gemeg Sport who already operate a successful football development centre have turned their attention to darts and the two proposed venues are in Gosport and Southampton in Hampshire.

The Darts Performance Centre have teamed up with Gemeg to offer the knowledge we have built up over the past three years of running our darts improvement website as well as the hundreds of players we have videoed and analysed. We will be advising on the content of the course as well as coaching the students on a day to day basis.

The Diploma in Sport course is open to students aged 16-18. The level 2 course is a one year course open to students who have not achieved 5 GCSE’s. The level 3 course is a 2 year course with students needing 5 GCSE’s  A-C grade to access the course.

As well as the academic side students will also be coached in darts as part of the course. There will be the opportunity to play in internal and external tournaments and meet the Pro’s of today via the affiliation with the PDC.

Students will also follow a structured coaching plan designed to take a dart player from the college to the top of the game!

The Darts Performance Centre is a resource to assist dart players of all standards play better darts. The site is arranged as an online coaching manual. There is advice on technique, nerves, psychology, goal setting, practice games, an area to log your statistics and an interactive area where your darting questions are answered by two sports scientists, one with 30 years dart playing experience. You also get an invite to our free but exclusive members only events and acess to our members only darts coaching app! Membership is £25 per year!
