Members Tournament & Darts Workshop Update

Posted: 17.06.13 in Coaching Night and Members Tournament category

The plans for the members event are taking shape.

Update 18/6/13

We  are starting to put together some ideas for the members evening on Friday 22 November 2013. The tournaments and depending on numbers and time the blind pairs will look after itself (well with Chris Skinner's excellent tournament management anyway).

For us the workshop ideas are the key area to offer something different. First of all I have approached a sports psychologist. I have asked for a session (around 40/50 minutes) on preparation and dealing with nerves and other performance issues. I know this is a huge area for virtually all our members. So your feedback welcome on that.

We will have the video analysis set up too.

It may be that over one evening with two tournaments this will be more than enough to take in!

Two other ideas:

The Kit Room.

We could carry out the flight and shaft experiment with a group to give you the chance of testing to see if a different set up may work.

Nutrition

Another workshop idea was a presentation on nutrition and a darts tournament. A guide to what to eat and drink to aid focus and concentration as well as helping you get through a whole day of darts feeling as good as when you started!

It will also depend on numbers and there is still 5 months to go of course. I don't anticipate setting a deadline for confirmation of attendance, as such, but as soon as you can confirm you would like to come the better. I will email out confirmations to the members that have already registered later this week.
