PDC Premier League – Week 6

The Premier League bandwagon heads to the south coast this week and stops in Brighton. Adrian Lewis in particular will be hoping for a more friendly welcome from the locals than he received in Glasgow and that the only things being throw on stage this week are the players’ darts!

Here are my thoughts for this week

Simon Whitlock V Mark Webster

A classic premier League match, how do you split these two? The first problem is which" Wizard" and which “Webbo” will show up in Brighton. Both Simon and Mark have only been consistent in one way this season, their inconsistency (if you know what I mean). When “Webbo” has been “hot” he has been brilliant, “The Wizard” has let slip the best part of his game his finishing! I will side with “Webbo” but it will be close!

180`s – 7

Highest Checkout 140

Adrian Lewis V Terry Jenkins

“Jackpot” had a lot to contend with in Glasgow, not just playing Anderson but a few, err, “enthusiastic” fans who tried to help “The Flying Scotsman” with a warm Glasgow welcome for the Englishman, Lewis. Their plan backfired as Anderson crumbled under the pressure of playing at home. It was a brilliant display by Adrian in very tricky atmosphere. If he can get through that he will have too much for “The Bull” this week.

180`s – 9

Highest Checkout – 120

Gary Anderson V Raymond Van Barneveld

The two players who were both playing at home last week!! Although Barney had the much better time of it and looked like the old “Barney” he was relaxed and he showed the smooth action that appears when he is on form.  It will be interesting to see how Anderson reacts to last week. I am going for Barney to keep the Brighton branch of his fan club happy this week!

180`s – 9

Highest Checkout - 100

Phil Taylor V James Wade

“The Power” really does look like he is back to his best, he was excellent in his 8:5 win against Whitlock last week. I wrote James off and expected a charge from the Bull last week but “Wadey” showed his class and won 8:6. He hasn`t got enough to beat Phil though has he? I am wary of writing him off again BUT I have to go with the consistency of “The Power”

180`s – 5

Highest Checkout – 140 (60, double top, double top J )

My Tips Are:

Double Top – Lewis and Taylor - Around 6/5 is generally availbale

Double 1 –Barney to beat Anderson -19/10 available at Boylesports  and UniBet

Stat Bet – Match with most 180`s Anderson V Barney
