Darts Experiment Player Profiles

Kevin

He has played to Super League standard but now plays for fun, what is hot? His throw, what is not, his throw!

Gary

Plays in the local Christchurch league and has recently played super league and county and has ten singles wins under his belt. What is hot, his power scoring, what is not? His checkouts.Gary would like to work on his finishing and also has three different styles of throw he uses at the moment, so he would also  like to try and optimise his technique.

Tim

He has been playing for four years as a pub league player and would like to improve his consistency on the oche.

Carol

Plays in the Christchurch league, she wants to improve her consistency, enjoys beating the men and her ambition is to play super league.

Alex

He has been playing for twenty years, would like to work on his consistency, not getting frustrated and has lost a bit of confidence recently and wants to regain that.

Josh

He has been playing for around eight months. He would like to work on his all round performance, he also gets frustrated with his game and starts the “Barneyesque” head shaking and negative self talk, he would really like to deal with that.

John

He has been playing since he was fourteen and in the league since he was sixteen (thirty one years). He has played at all levels including the BDO and the UK Open. He is looking to improve his consistency and would like to work on his mental game which he believes is holding him back from taking the next step up the darting ladder.

Graham

He has been a county player and now plays for fun but has ambitions to play super league again and progress to county level. He cites loss of concentration as an aspect of his game he would like to work on.

Lennon (Lemon Booby)

He has been playing for three or four years. He had the chance to play county youth but it didn`t work out for him for one reason or another. He would also like to work on his consistency and would like to play in a more relaxed state, at the moment he needs to feel “angry” to produce his best darts. He is also intrigued about how we will deal with Kevin`s throw.

Tom

Playing for forty years, London A and Middlesex A county and super league players and was manager of a team that had “One Dart” and Dave Askew as team mates.  Tom has just moved to Bournemouth and joined Team Kasbah after a three year break from the game. He believes that everyone can improve their game if they persevere and hopes everyone gets something out of this because this will improve “The Team” as a whole (we like Tom). You only need to take one word from this blog to have a chance of suceeding in any self-improvement programme and Tom said it, “perseverance” that is the key to improvement!

Bob

He has been “playing “for forty years too but has taken a few breaks from the game including a whopping thirteen year sabbatical. He is now playing three times a week at the moment. He is intrigued by the Darts Experiment and believes that with-in Team Kasbah there are team members that we can help but is not too confident we can help with his own game. He knows he can improve but has reservations about whether he will carry through any suggestions made to him. However, if we prove ourselves Bob will be taking us along to `sort out` his team mates from the other two teams he plays for. Bob does realise this is a two way relationship and we are really looking forward to working with him, it will be interesting to see Bob`s progress over the next few weeks.
