Double bubble today as we look back on yesterday and forward to today at The Lakeside!

I am off to the Lakeside today!

Having done 45 days on the bounce at the place since 2014 it will be great to be back at the home of world darts. I have so many great memories of my time working here for the BDO social media team but it will be very nice to just be watching as a “darts fan”!

Day 4

Dave Parletti 1  V Krzysztof Kciuk  3

Scott Mitchell 3  V Oliver Ferenc  0

Aileen de Graaf  2 V Paula Jacklin  0

Ross Montgomery  0  V Scott Baker 3

Evening Session

Glen Durrant 0  Vs Mark McGrath  3

Lorraine Winstanley 2 V Casey Gallagher  1

Chris Landman 2 Kyle McKinstry 3

Gary Robson 1 V David Cameron 3

The first two games of the day demonstrated the need for experience on the lakeside stage. Kciuk had his prelim warm up under his belt and he came through against the favourite Parletti who couldn’t quite get to grips with being on “that” stage. He needs to draw comfort from the game that followed. Do you remember when Scotty Dog couldn’t buy a win at Lakeside?  Now he is a former World Champion and cruised through 3:0 v Ollie Fernec.

On the other hand Robbo and The Boss looked out of sorts and the experience they have between them counted for nothing as they were both easily beaten. The Landman – McKinsty game was the highlight of the evening session.

Day 5

Afternoon Session

Wesley Harms V Willem Mandigers
Trina Gulliver  Vs Karolina Podgorska
Michael Unterbuchner Vs Wayne Warren

Evening Session

Mark McGeeney  V Conan Whitehead
Jim Williams V Dean Reynolds
Richard Veenstra  V Scott Waites

I will be at the afternoon session today and all three games should be crackers. Mind you the evening session has, potentially, some great games too. Has Scott Waites sorted out his doubling issues? If not, he will be in big trouble v Veenstra

Tips

Wednesday Double

Mandigers + 1.5 sets 5/6 and Veenstra +1.5 sets 8/11
