PDC World Championship Day 9 Preview Day 10 Review

Friday night is made for darting! And what a night it was!

It was another eventful day and night at The Palace yesterday! The two stand out games for me were the wins for Devon Petersen and Nathan Aspinall. I bet you, like me thought it was all over at 2 down? Both Devon and Nathan looked out of their depth and it was going to be over for them and a 3:0 trouncing.

I have a short memory don’t I! Our main man Diogo Portela was in the same position just a few days ago and ended up on the losing side. The same thing happened last night as Petersen and Aspinall used every ounce of their mental toughness to somehow prevail.

We haven’t talked about mental toughness for a while. Here is one of our blogs from back in the day. But all you need to know about how to define mental toughness is summed up by Nathan Aspinall after his win:

"I know what I can do and I knew if I played my game I could win, even at 2-0 down I thought I would still win and I never gave up.”

Brilliant performance from both of them!

The Darts Performance Centre has closed for its Xmas break so I can relax and err, watch the darts! There is a great card today.
