We take a closer look at the King Cadby darts!

A relatively new player to the darting world, Corey ‘King’ Cadby, a 24 year old from Tasmania, Australia, burst onto the scene with a 6-2 victory in the Perth Masters 2016 against Phil Taylor, recording an impressive 103.58 average in the process.

This confidence aided him to success in the World Youth Final, defeating Berry van Peer 6-2 in Minehead, in front of a packed crowd. Thanks to his DPA Australian Grand Prix ranking, finishing top of the pile in his debut season, he qualified for the 2017 PDC World Championship, in which he defeated Sun Qiang 2-0 in the preliminary round.

He then faced the in-form Joe Cullen, and after taking the opening set, fell to a 3-1 defeat. In 2018, Cadby won his tour card on the opening day, defeating rising star Callan Rydz in the final four to secure his two year PDC contract. A few months after this success, Cadby came within touching distance of his first PDC major, losing out to Gary Anderson in the final of the 2018 UK Open, played behind closed doors due to poor weather.

Due to VISA issues, Cadby was barred from competing within the UK, and after many disputes, the ban was overturned, and Cadby has resumed competing on the PDC circuit. His return was in Players Championship 9, in which he reached the L64. Two weeks later in Development Tour 6, Cadby defeated Luke Humphries 5-3 to win his first PDC title since returning to the circuit. He now sits at 64th in the rankings, yet faces a difficult year to find form after so long out.

‘King’ Cadby is a player for Target Darts. Target manufacture his signature darts, designed perfectly to provide him with the exact level of grip and balance needed for him to compete at the top.

Target have released a set of darts built specifically for Cadby, featuring a striking gold coating, with a black knurl towards the front of the dart. Cadby’s darts are fitted with a 26mm black coated point, as well as Pro Grip shafts and a set of signature Corey Cadby dart flights.

The darts are available in 21g (51mm x 6.85mm), 23g (51mm x 6.85mm) and 25g (51mm x 6.7mm)

These darts are stocked by Darts Performance Centre, and are available for £64.95
